About Our Properties

Abby Lane Summer Homes and Abby Lane Motel are actually two properties, in two locations,  offering very different but equally enjoyable vacation experiences.  Both are located within the bustling resort area of Cavendish, re-knowned for its most famous personage, Lucy Maud Montgomery, but also for the beautiful miles of white sand beaches and sand dunes which are preserved for future generations, as the PEI National Park.

The Cavendish Resort Area is actually a combination of small communities which represent a typical Island way of life.  There is the busy fishinhg village of North Rustico with a wonderful boardwalk along the wharf and North Rustico Bay.  There is a large fresh fish market, you can book deep sea fishing excursions or take a kayaking lesson from trained instructors.  Rustico also features the area's closest liquor store, larger food markets, a new outdoor fitness center and more.  Stanley Bridge (formerly called "Carmody" in historic times) boosts wonderful views of New London Bay and the Cavendish sandspit and has dining overlooking the water.  We are also only a few minutes from New Glasgow with the well-known PEI Preserve Company, the long standing tradional lobster supper, New Glasgow Lobster Suppers and is a quaint village with craft and art shops.
